Mayor of Perm Eduard Sosnin congratulated teachers, schoolchildren and parents on the Day of Knowledge

On September 1, all schools in Perm held ceremonial opening parades.   Perm Mayor visited the parage in “Tochka”  design school. He  not only congratulated the children on the beginning of the school year, but also inspected the progress of the new school building construction.

This year, over  140,000 school pupils, 16,000   first-graders among them,  have come to  Perm schools.  Mayor  Eduard Sosnin took part in  the ceremonial opening parade  at the “Tochka”  design school, in his address  he noted that in the new school year the students  will have the opportunity to  enjoy many interesting discoveries, as the new  school building is under construction. 

The new building of the «Tochka» design school, adjourning  the existing building on Gagarina Boulevard, is designed to accommodate  1050 seats students. It will house  35 classrooms, a large dining room with 525 seats, an assembly hall and a large sports hall. In addition, there will be a modern sports cluster with a stadium, training, workout and games  equipment  on the adjacent territory, as well as  spaces  for recreation and general school activities . At the moment the interior  decoration work in under way, with  coating the  walls, installation of ceilings, laying  tiles, installation of  internal networks for  water supply and disposal, power supply, heating, ventilation, low-current systems. Commissioning of the facility is planned by the end of 2023. The work is carried out according to the schedule,  being monitored  by specialists of the city capital construction management.  

Note that in the «Tochka» school in addition to the main subjects runs education in design as  a profile training  programme.  The main feature of the school’s educational model  is the pupils and teachers joint work  on  developing real projects. The projects are created in  in specially equipped areas, such as  ceramic and textile workshops, IT studio, photo studio, art studio, prototyping workshop, as well as printing house. The development of creative skills is carried out under the guidance of the best specialists of Perm and Russia.
